Watch Minor League games on MLB.TV.

You’re a baseball fan. You have an MLB.TV account to watch out-of-market Major League games across the country. But you want to see some of the game’s up-and-coming stars, too.

If not, you can get a taste of what you’re missing with select Minor League Baseball games featuring some of MLB’s top prospects coming to the MLB.TV streaming platform.

To get you set for the introduction of top prospects to one of the premier streamers in sports, let’s dive into the details.

How it works: Minor League games are typically streamed over at MiLB.TV. (More on that in a moment.) To bring the future of the game to even more folks, some of the biggest names and games from all levels of the Minor Leagues are being brought over to the MLB.TV feed. Let’s underline this point: these matchups come with your MLB.TV subscription. No additional payment is necessary for these featured contests. Just fire up MLB.TV before first pitch and tune in to see the future of the game on display. The games themselves can be found under the “Featured” on the MLB app.

What is MiLB.TV ?: Think MLB.TV but even bigger. MiLB.TV streams all Triple-A and Double-A games, as well as hundreds more from the High-A and Single-A levels. Every Major League affiliate is represented multiple times over, meaning there are ample chances every day to see your favorite club’s best prospects before they reach the bright lights of The Show. And for just $ 25, you can add MiLB.TV to your existing MLB.TV subscription.

On deck: Saturday’s Frisco-Northwest Arkansas game was just the start. More MiLB.TV games are coming to MLB.TV streams in the days ahead. Here’s what else to expect this week:

Wednesday, April 27, 12:15 pm ET – Buffalo Bisons (TOR) @ Worcester Red Sox (BOS): Two Top 20 overall prospects square off in Triple-A action this Wednesday in No. 7 Gabriel Moreno and No. 16 Triston Casas.

Coming off a breakout 2021 season that sent him surging up prospect rankings, Moreno is getting his first extended look at the Minors ’top level. The 22-year-old backstop is hitting .286 / .324 / .400 with four doubles and seven RBIs through his first 10 games with Buffalo, entering Monday’s off-day across the Minors. He could be just heating up as well after experiencing a delayed start to Spring Training due to visa issues.

Moreno continues to be a defensive asset, having thrown out two of four attempted basestealers thus far in 2022. The Venezuela native was first signed as an infielder and shows good athleticism behind the plate, making him a well-rounded catching talent that could challenge Danny Jansen, Alejandro Kirk and Zack Collins for Major League time before long.

Casas, by comparison, is off to an even more powerful start for the WooSox. The 22-year-old first baseman has gone deep four times over 17 games entering Monday. He owns a .262 / .395 / .508 line through 76 plate appearances, good for a 141 wRC + in the International League. Listed at 6-foot-4, 252 pounds, the No. 2 Red Sox prospect possesses plus-plus raw power from the left side and is still learning to make the most of it in his fourth Minor League season, meaning more moonshots could be coming.

This specific matchup takes place at Worcester’s Polar Park, a stadium almost tailormade for left-handed power like Casas’ due to its short porch (aka the Worcester Wall) in the right field.

Casas won’t be Worcester’s only Top 100 prospect on display Wednesday. The club also boasts no. 84 Jarren Duran, an outfielder with plus-plus speed and budding left-handed pop of his own. Duran enters the week with a .346 / .469 / .423 line and five stolen bases over seven games to begin the 2022 season.

The Wednesday matinee could serve as the perfect baseball appetizer for the Red Sox-Blue Jays game scheduled later that night in Toronto at 7:07 pm ET.

Thursday, April 28, 6:35 pm ET – Portland Sea Dogs (BOS) @ Somerset Patriots (NYY): Anthony Volpe, MLB Pipeline’s No. 8 overall prospect, takes the Yankees shortstop spotlight Thursday. It also just so happens to be his 21st birthday. This will be the inaugural MLB Pipeline Game of the Month.
