Amy Grant among the stars appearing at Celebrity Showroom in April – Macomb Daily

Amy Grant kicks off the month of April with some new music and time-tested classics Friday evening at Andiamo Celebrity Showroom in Warren.

Some extra seating opened up this week for the show for the six-time Grammy award winning singer and crossover Christian music icon.

In addition to her past material such as “Baby, Baby,” “Every Heartbeat” and “El Shadda,” Grant will perform her new release of a cover of the 1969 Jackie DeShannon classic “Put A Little Love in Your Heart.” A music video that accompanies the song includes fan-submitted photos and videos taken from her 2021 Line By Line Tour.

Grant, who is married to country music superstar Vince Gill, is also known for her philanthropic work as evidenced here in Macomb County when she donated her appearance fee back to Macomb Habitat for Humanity during a benefit show a few years back.

Tickets are $ 125, $ 89, $ 69 and $ 39.

Also on the schedule for April:

• Killer Queen presents a tribute performance to the music and look of the rock group Queen on Saturday night. Patrick Myers does an admirable job of personifying the late singer Freddie Mercury as the band’s frontman.

Tickets are $ 62, $ 52 and $ 28.

Italian tenor Pasquale Esposito returns to Andiamo Celebrity Showroom on Saturday night.

Closing out this weekend is the return of pop opera and PBS superstar Pasquale Esposito on Sunday.

The Italian-born American tenor is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the “Il Tempo” tour, which consists of songs from the 1880s to the present. The audience will hear Italian standards, opera classics, Broadway tunes and original material, accompanied by a multimedia presentation of Italy.

Opening is Angela Theis, a soprano who no stranger to Michigan Opera Theater audiences.

Tickets are $ 68, $ 58 and $ 28.

Greek comedian Basile make his Celebrity Showroom debut on Friday, April 29.

The bilingual comic is known for his improvisational skills and characters. He was recently nominated for an Emmy award for his work on ESPN’s “30 for 30” series “The Legend of Jimmy the Greek,” as the voice of Jimmy “The Greek” Snyder.

Tickets are $ 46.

• Classic rockers The Guess Who close out the month on Saturday, April 30 with a hits-filled show.

The long career of the Canadian band is tied to 14 Top 10 hits including “These Eyes,” “American Woman,” “Star Baby,” “Share the Land,” “Clap for the Wolfman” and others.

Tickets are $ 78, $ 68, $ 55 and $ 28.

Andiamo Celebrity Showroom is located at 7096 E. 14 Mile Road (west of Van Dyke Avenue) in Warren. The 800-seat venue offers a rare Vegas-style setting and an up-close, intimate show experience.
